Abstract
This study based on the application of Islamic leadership according to Al-Ghazali model among teachers in the district of Kulaijaya which emphasize on the view and perceptions of the teacher. The main purpose of this study is to look at the leadership practice of Islamic according to Al-Ghazali’s model. It is also to see whether there are differences in the practices based on the point of view given by the teachers in terms of gender, age, working experience and education level. This study, was carried out in Kulaijaya District. A total of five school were randomly selected with the total of 182 teachers were selected as the respondents for the sampling. Instrument used was questionnaire. The results showed that headmasters in the district of Kulaijaya practice moderate elements in the leadership and lack of practice on the exiting elements listed in the model. T-test showed that there were no significant difference or effect on gender of the teachers’ when discussing. One way ANOVA showed that there were no differences of the model of Al-Ghazali in terms of age, experiences and level of service of the teacher’s education. In additional, some recommendations were made as a result of the research findings and followed by recommendations for the future research.
