Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to provide a brief overview of the concept of risk measures that used in real estate with a particular emphasis on the merits and drawbacks of these risk measures. The findingrevealsthateachriskmeasurehas its distinctions and limitations. The findinghasafar-reachingimplicationtoinvestors,particularly,institutionalinvestors, which they should conscious with the advantages and disadvantages of these risk measures in order to determine the most apt risk measure in formulating desirable risk investment strategy.
