Abstract

Problems pile of waste that occurs in the area of terraced housing in Taman Universiti, Skudai, Johor is the problems associated with the environment. These problems not only cause environmental pollution but also the people around will also become less comfortable with their natural environment. Therefore, a study was conducted to identify the causes of this problem occur and seek ways to solve it by research objectives. The study was conducted and focused in the area of terraced housing in Taman Universiti, Skudai, Johor. Interviews were conducted on a number of agencies that involved in waste management. The agency's role in waste management in the study area was also carried out in this study. The interview aimed to seek views, recommendations, and the steps that can be applied in this study. Data and information collected will be analyzed by means of qualitative analysis. The results of the analysis of studies conducted, researchers have identified the causes of this garbage heap problems occur. In addition, interviews with respondents session of representatives of agencies aimed at identifying the source of the problem is happening on the basis of their experience in the study. On behalf of the agencies involved, there were some problems and constraints faced by them. Among these issues are the cost, social, and problem management authorities. Recommendations to solve the piles of garbage has also been made for the agency involved based on their role.
