Abstract
Analysis and design of steel unbraced frames bending on both axes were performed with emphasis on stability'and deflection checks. Wind-moment de sign is proposed to improve the stab ility and stiffness. The performance of the frames was checked for collapse load level at Ultimate Limit Sta te (ULS) for 2nd order anaysis and the defl ection limits at Serviceability Limit State checked for 1st order analys is. The investigation demonstrated that the frames should be restricted to less tha n four storeys.
