A sample of 160 professionals was randomly selected from the list of quantity surveyors, architects, builders and engineers. Data were analysed through relative importance index for ranking comparison among the professionals. Rank agreement factor and percentage rank agreement factor were used to measure the agreement of the importance ranking. The results revealed improve work quality, improve overall project delivery, increase long-term productivity, reduce wastages of construction materials and improve workmanship. These arise from improvement on organisational productivity, performance and profitability. Hence, policymakers should ensure the supply of skilled workers for the performance of the construction industry.
