Abstract
The purpose of the present study is to identify the relationships between the factors that affect the Knowledge Sharing with the Knowledge Sharing Intention (KSI). This will clarify the reason of performing the action and also will reveal the willingness to perform knowledge sharing among AKP SK2P in Johor State of Education (JPNJ) to share their knowledge. In this study, factors that affect the knowledge sharing be investigated with reference to the main theories about the individual behaviour such as the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) and Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). This research employed Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as the basis framework of the research design in order to investigate the individual factors (reciprocal and self-efficacy), and also organisational factors (affiliation and extrinsic rewards) together with environmental factors (trust and social networks) towards KSI. The framework of this study is partially replicating a study of Lin (2007) due to its parallel with the needs of the study. However, some variables added in this study in accordance with the requirements of the implementing staff at JPNJ. The sample data derived from 86 survey research of respondents who are currently the AKP Scheme in the job Grade of N17 until the highest of job grade N38. KSI is expressed as the dependent variable while the independent variables are individual factors (reciprocal and self-efficacy), organisational factors (affiliation and extrinsic rewards) and also environmental factors (trust and social networks). The data was analyzed by using SPSS version 21.0 to do descriptive statistics and regression analysis. The overall results reveal that individual factor is the most dominant factor that influences KSI among AKP SK2P at JPNJ. Results also indicate that all influencing factors has significant, positive relationship in influencing knowledge sharing unless extrinsic rewards. The analyses confirmed that extrinsic reward is not one of the factors that influenced AKP to share their knowledge.
