Abstract

The frequency of landslides in Federal roads has threatened the safety and safety of consumers. Therefore, the assessment of slopes, is a key component of the landslide, it is considered to be an important part of network control and conservation of the area. In the monitoring conducted to determine the degree of failure of the soil structure along the slope of the issue around FT 59 Tapah-Ringlet. This study involved eight (8) problematic slope sites. The ROM Scale (Movement Range) formula is used as the basis for determining the degree of structural stability and problematic slope failure in this area. The study respondents consisted of the Jabatan Kerja Raya Daerah Batang Padng (JKR) and project consultants. The semi-structured interview method was used to obtain information on the slope evaluation system and its methodology including indicators and ratings used in the system by JKR and project consultants. From the research conducted by Cawangan Kejuruteraan Cerun (CKC)is under JKR. There are various indicators that can be used as a proxy to describe the actual state of the slope including details of slope, slope information, slope geometry, slope cover, pavement, geological conditions, drainage, slope status, erosion, field equipment, service and facilities, field sketch, source photography and advanced steps required. From these findings, the results show that three slope locations (Site C, Site F and Site H) have Critical Land Levels, three slope locations (Site A, Site D and Site G) are categorized as High, another Medium category location. (Site E) while one location in (Site B) is a low category. The composition of soil texture, dominated by sand and silt is strongly influenced by the degree of soil stability in each sample area. Therefore, some problematic slopes around the location of roads without mitigation control should be taken care of immediately to prevent further landslides in the future.
