Abstract

Practicing religious knowledge among students is a responsibility of every parent, educator and also society. Teachers' responsibility is not only to deliver knowledge, but also to ensure that the contents of knowledge are well understood and appreciated by students. Routine Activities beyond the Curriculum (ARMK) is a support program for teachers to be implemented in the classrooms. Therefore, this study is to examine the teacher's perception of ARMK and whether such activities are carried out as directed by the responsible party. This quantitative study through surveying method was conducted on teachers teaching at Religious Schools in Sedili Zone, Kota Tinggi, with 40 respondents in total. It was conducted by distributing questionnaires that were answered independently by the respondents. Data analysis in this study was using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) version 2.0. The findings show that the first objective of teachers' perceptions of ARMK was the high mean of 4.05, while for the second objective of the implementation of ARMK, the teachers are aware of and have agreed with the instructions to its implementation with a mean score of 3.88.
