Abstract

An outcome of the necessity of associating the implementation of business intelligence is to manage large amount of data for higher studies institutions. This implementation of BI will eventually enhance the higher studies process. For academic staff, the implications of business intelligence are indeed commodious. Increasingly number of universities must provide an efficient solution to reach the diverse need of management to manage diverse amount of data. Academic staffs will be forced fundamentally to change their approach to gain data to accommodate the need the top management. The associated implication is mainly increased workload that needs a proactive, effective and strategic management. It is clear that higher studies institutions must change to accommodate the demand of top managements and in response to the fast tracked IT world, however, the difficulty associated with the changes that complete understanding and taken into account prior to the transition that takes place. Whilst, the contribution of business intelligence are highly foreshown the many positive implications of implementing business intelligence approaches. Majority, if not all higher studies institutions are utilizing the BI technology. Many of these implementations are exterior, in terms of learner engagement toward the BI system. To validate the business intelligence relevancy and approaches, the implementations of BI in other firms are mentioned in real contexts which supported by the implemented BI frameworks. This paper presents BI approaches, implementation and on the analysis that were carried out under the terms of business intelligence along with higher education.
