Abstract

This study aims to identify the perceptions of the effectiveness of lecturers Students Evaluation of Teaching (e-PPP) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in improving the quality of teaching and learning lecturer. Qualitative study was conducted using the method of oral interviews with four lecturers from three different focus areas selected using purposive sampling. Qualitative data were analyzed by using a theme. The results showed that instructional planning, instructional delivery mode, the interaction between students and lecturers with soft skills can affect student evaluation of lecturers use e-PPP. Results showed that all respondents show a very positive response to the e-PPP, stating that e-PPP can improve the quality of teaching and learning at the university lecturer. Respondents also expect the e-PPP continued and made improvements to enhance the quality of teaching and learning lecturer. Respondents in this study also makes recommendations for improvements to the e-PPP. In addition, cooperation and action from affected parties should have in ensuring e-PPP is capable of performing a valid and reliable teaching. Proposed action and further research are discussed in this study.
