Abstract
Artikel ini membincangkan kemahiran membaca dalam bahasa Arab meliputi maksud membaca (al-Qira'ah wal-Mutala'ah), realiti pembelajaran kemahiran membaca, pembahagian bacaan kepada bacaan senyap dan nyaring, objektif mengajar kemahiran membaca, kaedah pengajaran al-Qira'ah di Universiti Teknologi Malaysia serta contoh soalan dalam menguji kefahaman bacaan senyap pelajar-pelajar UTM.
