This paper reports on the exploratory studies of the perception between Public Work Department (PWD) and contractor on factors influencing the successful completion of construction of a public school project. An extensive literature review was performed to gather the 104 influence factors of project success and to validate these factors, pilot studies were conducted with 10 subject matter experts. The objective of the study is to determine whether the perception of PWD and contractor towards the influence factors differ. Homogeneity test is used to analyse the data and the results showed that their perception differ in 43 factors and discussed in the later section of this paper.
