Abstract

This paper presents a water supply distribution system for the Pasir Gudang area in Johor by using EPANET software. The requirements for this study are Pasir Gudang water distribution layout, water demand based on each area, the elevation of tank locations and length and diameter of the pipes. The required water demand, the elevation of the tank and the main pipe diameter are obtained from Ranhill SAJ Sdn Bhd. The water distribution network that is modelled with EPANET consists of 26 water tanks, 38 junctions, 65 pipes and one water treatment plant. The total amount of Epanet computed water demand is 215,160 million litres per day, which is higher than the required water demand of 206,070 million litres per day. Therefore, there is no shortage of water to affect in Pasir Gudang area.
