Abstract

Environmental Education is a teaching about the environment that focuses on building a society that is responsible for the environment and the ability to disseminate understanding, action skills in the formation of a sustainable world society. This study aims to assess the implementation of Malay Language teachers on environmental education in the subjects of Malay language support. In addition, this study also aims to assess the level of knowledge of the Malay language teacher, the attitude of Malay Language teachers, the practice of teaching Malay language, Malay Language teacher evaluation methods and problems of teaching Malay language for teaching environmental education. The design used in this study is quantitative design. A total of 226 Malay language teachers Primary School, Kulai has been involved in the study. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire. This study was analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) software in the form of descriptive statistics, namely percentage, frequency and mean. The results of the analysis show that the level of teacher knowledge, the level of teacher attitude, the level of teacher teaching practice, the method of teacher evaluation and teacher teaching problems are at a high level.
