Abstract
ABSTRACT The study identifies factors that influenced UTM and Alumni graduates to be involved in entrepreneurship. This research focused on four main aspects, namely entrepreneur background, attitude, motivation and skill. A set of questionnaire consisting of items that cover the four aspects, was used to gather the information, involving 42 entrepreneurs. The study found that, three factors: attitude, motivation and skill, influenced UTM graduated to be involved in business although majority of them disagreed that entrepreneur background like family background be main factors influenced them to be an entrepreneurs. Spearman Correlation was employed to observe the relationship between four influencing factors with a three dimensions of entrepreneur achievement: ie capital investment, total of sales and company assets. Testing of hypothesis has shown that have significant correlation between attitude factors with a capital investment and significant correlation between skill factors with company sales. Finally, the study proposes ways to further entrepreneurship develop in University Technology Malaysia.
