Abstract

Undergraduate Project Management System 1 (e-PSM1) is a proposed system to replace the existing Undergraduate Project Management system at the Faculty of Computers. The existing PSM 1 system is manually operated through the filing system and addresses issues such as poor storage and accessibility of information, risk of data leakage, data security threats, and long-term data updating problems. To address this problem, a web-based e-PSM1 system was developed. This system facilitates the handling of PSM 1-related information such as the selection of supervisors, submission of project proposals via e-form, submission of PSM 1-related documents, student and faculty data management, and report generation. The system will also send email notifications to users involved in submitting or reviewing project proposals and project proposal reports. The development of this system using prototype methodology. ASP.Net technology is used for system development, while Microsoft SQL Server is used for database management.
