Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept where an object has the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-tocomputer interaction. IoT has evolved from the convergence of wireless technologies and internet. This paper introduced the concept of IoT, organizational structures and its roles. We reviewed some relevant studies to find out how IoT roles have influenced change in organizations. The purpose of this paper is to draw a conclusion that, organizational structure within different industries are being affected due to the adoption of IoT, thereby creating new IoT roles and also its impact towards those organizations presented in this study.
