Abstract
Low density polyethylene (LDPE) nanocomposites containing 0,2,4,6,8, and 10 part per hundred resin (phr) of Sepiolite were prepared using twin screw extruder at 160 °C followed by injection moulding. The effect of sepiolite loading on tensile and thermal properties of LDPE/Sepiolite nanocomposites was characterized using tensile test and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA). The result showed that the incorporation of sepiolite nanofiller has successfully enhanced the tensile properties and thermal properties of LDPE/Sepiolite nanocomposites.
