Abstract

This study focuses on an investigation of image processing of electronic waste (E-waste) detection where the problem is to detect and identify in recycling process of mobile phones, batteries and laptop computers as examples. Some of actually acquired images of E-wastes would be mixed with other wastes. For object matching with scale invariance the SIFT (Scale -Invariant- Feature Transform) is applied and used for identifying the Ewastes categories. Reflecting the particular problem for recycling the SIFT is customized. Through experiments the modification of SIFT is investigated.
