Abstract
Awareness in agile software development methodology is an initial step for agile practitioners to implement agile practices in proper way. Lack of awareness will leads to misunderstandings among agile practitioners and misuse the agile practices. This paper presents the findings of our investigation into factors that contribute software practitioners’ awareness of agile software development methodology. A systematic literature review was carried out to review the literature on agile software development methodology. The relevant papers was search between January 2000 and December 2014 from seven electronic databases. The skimming process was performed by focusing on three different parts of article to determine the relevant studies for our research. Finally, 69 papers had identified and closely related with awareness in agile software development methodology. From review findings, 12 awareness factors were identified and analyzed. The review results presents on what are the awareness factors contribute to the awareness among agile practitioners. Based on the results, this review results can help in assessing the awareness problems among agile practitioners in implementing agile practices.
