Kajian terhadap tahap keselamatan perkhidmatan feri penumpang yang beroperasi di Jeti Kukup, Johor

Abstract

This report is an assessment study about the safety level of ferries and boat passenger services being offered by the ferry operator which involved completely in the business for international passenger to their destination such as Tanjung Balai, Indonesia by using ferries from Kukup Jetty and also boat activities to bring over passenger within Kukup fisherman area as to Kukup National Park or to Farm Fish which is also known as „Kelong�. From this report, a researcher will be assessing the safety level of every ferries and passenger boat whether it is a guaranty and within the operator?s consideration about the safety aspects to whomever passenger who use and be getting in their ferry services. Through this report also, the researcher tries to get the clear view about the steps taken by the organization involved to encounter the safety issues for passenger and also about the specifications of ferry and passenger boat whether it follows the standard of Malaysian Shipping Acts. This study would also try to get public overview in every aspect especially about the safety level of passenger ferries services besides other issues and related problems which occurs in the assessment or inspection being done by the organization involved to those ferries operated in Kukup Jetty. This study is also conducted by using several information from several of resources such as printed material from government, private sectors, electronic media, visual and such information from internet, articles and other information which is related to this study. As there is lacking in terms of the number of this study related to this field, hopefully this study can be use by future researcher as the main reference and supported information for them.
