Supply chain relationship is widely considered by both practitioners and researchers a vital contributor to performance. The current study encompasses the developing body of literature on buyer-supplier relationship, which is the degree to which a manufacturer strategically exchanges knowledge with its suppliers. In addition, knowledge exchange is considered a key managerial strategy for improving supplier’s operational performance. This study empirically examines the importance of knowledge exchange and its antecedents to operational performance. Moreover, the results support a strong positive relationship between the knowledge management process and supplier’s operational performance in the context of supply chain management.
