To achieve stated objectives, an adaptation and modified questionnaire from previous studies’ instrument were used. The questionnaires are given to designated contact person via drop and collect and then were distributed to 140 respondents. The response rate was 54 percent. The descriptive statistics found that the level of social sciences fields’ academic staffs’ creative role identity is medium high, while the level of creativity practices among them is high. The creative role identity does have a partial mediation significant effect to the relationship between factor that influence creative role identity and creativity practices which was analyzed using a hierarchical regression analysis. The hierarchical regression analysis also then revealed that organizational support does not have a significant moderator effect to the relationship between creative role identity and creativity practices. The limitations, implications and recommendations for practice and future research in creativity are also discussed. In conclusion, findings from this study have contributed to the development and affirmation of theories of identity and creativity.
