Abstract
It is general knowledge and acceptance that modelling is one of the methods for finding solutions to real problem, particularly complex engineering problems. This paper reviews the idea of modelling as a tool in the charge-gun performance and casing damage studies, and dicusses the basic concept of modelling. From the literature survey, it can be seen that charge-gun performance studies have been performed using physical or laboratory modelling, but casing damage studies have been accomplished by laboratory modelling and finite element method.
