Abstract
In this paper social network approach will be used to analyze safety culture and worker's behaviour in manufacturing industry. For this purpose we assume that each characteristic of safety culture, as well as worker's behaviour, is a member of social group and the relationship among them represents social relationship. With this point of view, those relationships can be quantified by means of correlation structure among characteristics. To analyse that network, first we filter the important information contained therein by using minimum spanning tree and, second, we interpret it by using centrality measures such as degree, betweenness, closeness and eigenvector centrality. A case study on Malaysian industry will be presented to illustrate the advantage of the proposed approach. Some of important results and recommendations for the Government of Malaysia will be delivered.
