Abstract
Institut Teknologi Kebangsaan went through tremendous changes in 1975. On April 1, ITK reached another milestone in its history, when it was officially declared as Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). The Rector’s position was upgraded to a Vice Chancellor’s position. A Deputy Vice Chancellor in charged of students’ affairs and disciplines was also appointed to look after the demands and welfares of the increasing students population.
