Abstract
This research focused on the impacts of purchasing policies, customer-supplier relationships and purchasing-related information systems and technologies on the performance of purchasing and supply chain management in Chinese manufacturing. This research surveyed 384 purchasing staff in Chinese manufacturing enterprises and of these, 124 have offered usable responses. As the results shown, there are positive, significant impacts of purchasing policies, customer-supplier relationships, purchasing-related information systems and technologies on the purchasing and supply chain management performance. “customer-supplier relationships” has the greatest impact on purchasing and supply chain management performance followed by “purchasing-related information systems and technologies” and “purchasing policies”.
