Abstract
Casual game are widely available on the internet. A few years back, these games are mainly developed by game enthusiasts as a hobby. Coupled with the popularity of social networks, casual games spread virally and could generate multi-million dollars revenue. Besides the game itself, money can be generated from the sales of virtual goods and upgrades, as well as the in-game advertisement and on-web advertisements campaigns. Taking the advantage of the emerging trends, a casual game called Opocot Quest was developed using Game Maker game engine. The main character is an imaginary superhero named Opocot, who needs to overcome many obstacles in order to save Puteri. This game is available on Facebook, a popular social network site, with the help of Facebook SDK. Players will be able to download the game from Facebook platform and play for free. Revenue will be generated from extension packages like virtual goods and games customization. Additional accessories, weapons and special power that can be used to increase score are also available for download at additional costs. Unlike traditional advertising, online advertisement alongside casual game is expected to open new profit generation opportunity with no limit, with the ability to reach out to wider audience with purchasing power.
