Abstract
A Radon transform algorithm which incorporates the correlated X-ray images (some stock chest radiographs) into the processing of back-projection with the fan-beam geometry reconstruction with the aim of improving image quality was developed and explored. These reconstruction images were evaluated and compared with the original image. Meanwhile, we also made the comparisons with the filtered back-projection method and the Radon transform method without fan-beam geometry; the results also reveal that the proposed method has the best image reconstruction capability than other two methods. The results show that the proposed method produces reconstructed images with quiet high peak-signal-to-noise ratio.
