Penilaian pasca menduduki (POE) ke atas Perpustakaan Institut Penilaian Negara (INSPEN)

Abstract

Library is the important facilities in the intellectual development of an organization. The INSPEN Library is created to provide knowledge resources and references to the officers of Valuation and Property Services Department (JPPH) and the students of National Valuation Institute (INSPEN). A conducive library environment can develop a positive impact for the users. The effectiveness of library facilities needs to be improved in order to increase their performance and user needs. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the performance of INSPEN Library by using Post Occupation Evaluation (POE). The objective of this study is to identify the criteria needed and analyze the performance of the INSPEN Library based on the respondents' perceptions through the POE. Therefore, the first objective of this study is conducted by identifying 10 criteria with 27 performance parameters obtained from various sources of literature. This survey involved with the distribution of questionnaire form to the department's research officers, students and staff. The results from this study have found that the safety, security, functionality and psychological criteria need to be given special attention and recommendations. This study can be a great benefit for the management of INSPEN to take effective measures in order to improve the performance of INSPEN Library and satisfies the requirements of all users.
