Abstract
Assembly is one of the most important processes in manufacturing. With the implementation of Digital Manufacturing System (DMS), the assembly module of a desktop robot is considered. This paper proposes a metaheuristic-based optimization strategy for a task scheduling of assembly production-line manufacturing on DMS to provide an optimal task scheduling design for assembly task scheduling (DATS) framework. The optimal DATS has been successfully achieved. The suggested approach is easily scalable and applicable to any broad scale of DMS assembly configurations.
