Kajian terhadap tahap keyakinan dan sikap guru dalam pengajaran subjek Pendidikan Jasmani

Abstract

Physical education is a subject that students really like. Although it is studied three times a week the students are looking forward to the subject. However, the Physical Education is most liked by students, but some teachers are not confident to teach the subject of Physical Education. The reason given by the teachers is that they are not confident and are not suitable for female teachers. The teachers really facing problems, or other reasons. Not confident in the work can be because of lack of interest or not doing suitable for the job. The objective of this study is to identify the level of confidence of male and female teachers in the teaching of physical education. This study uses a descriptive design. A total of 322 Primary School Teachers in Johor Bahru were selected as study respondents. The instrument used was a questionnaire to measure career interests and measure teacher attitudes. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the study found the level of confidence and attitude of teachers towards teaching the subject of Physical Education.
