Abstract

Aluminum particles reinforced epoxy resin was fabricated to investigate the effect of particles on the mechanical properties of epoxy resin (PT 100). Aluminum (Al) particles were added in the epoxy resin as filler with a variation of weight percentage (10%, 20%, 30%, and 40%. The compressive strength, Vickers hardness, and measuring the density were evaluated and compared. Procedure for compression test according to ASTM D-396 and Vickers hardness followed standard ASTM E92. Mold for making the samples was made by silicone rubber mold.
