Abstract
This paper proposed the design and implementation of the Single Input PI-Fuzzy Controller (SIPI-FC) for single phase inverter system. The proposed SIPI-FC offers several advantages compared to its conventional PI-FC, namely simpler control structure, less tuning parameters and fewer number of rules- which in turn leads to less tuning complexity. To realize the SIPI-FC, a low power single phase inverter hardware prototype is constructed. A digital signal processor system from dSPACE is used to implement the controller algorithm. The performance of the proposed SIPI-FC is then compared with the discrete linear PI controller and the conventional PI-FC.
