Abstract

Knowledge management is an important competence that should be practiced by all teachers, particularly, when planning and executing teaching and learning activities. Hence, teacher educators in teachers training colleges play an important role in promoting knowledge management among future teachers. Therefore, this study aimed to develop a substantiated Educator’s Knowledge Management Competency Model (EKMCM) to maximize knowledge management practice in teachers training colleges. Structural equation modelling was used to test the models. All the good fit measurement models were validated through confirmatory factor analysis. Furthermore, the study revealed an acceptable convergent validity, discriminant validity, construct validity and internal consistency for the EKMCM.
