Abstract

Nowadays learners were given authority to control their own learning, thus it is important to ensure that they engage and take the responsibility. In order to ensure that students take control of their own learning, the differences between each learner must be taken into consideration. Therefore, BizzApps has been developed based on VAK learning style model. This courseware was developed by following the instructional design model; Hannafin and Peck (1987). It was designed based on the three learning styles which are visual, auditory and kinesthetic. Three different subtopics in the entrepreneurship subject (target market, market share, marketing strategy) were designed for each of the learning styles. However, during the learning process, all the students with different learning styles learned using the same type of courseware. At the end, their perception towards the courseware was investigated. A total of 30 students were involved in this research. The findings showed that most of the students strongly agreed that the design of the software suited their learning style. Auditory students revealed the highest score and they mentioned that the audio element integrated in the courseware helped them to easily understand the topics. In short, the results of the study indicated that students can accept the differences of teaching aids even though it's developed with different learning style.
