Abstract

This study aims to develop a model to choose maintenance strategies based on priority of criteria weights by applying Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. Eighteen road maintenance criteria that have been developed by previous studies identified and analyzed based on expert respondents’ assessment of the case of Padang City, Indonesia. Systematic steps of AHP are implemented and the priority order of criteria based on their weight gained. Priority criteria based on the calculations of combined weight include road condition, maintenance type, mobility, accessibility, benefit of road use, population, people, participation, service rates, road hierarchy, public transportation routes, primary commodities, traffic volumes, Proposed Development Work Region Unit, a number of public facilities, economic feasibility, the width of the area, and the rate of accidents.
