Abstract

Despite decades of research, the study into the application of ultrasonic sensors in process tomography continues to be a subject of significant scientific interest. In this paper, we present a contemporary review of ultrasonic tomography (UT) systems for the application of liquid-gas multiphase flow. The evolution of this topic over the years and an overview of the UT system, measurement strategies, data acquisition, and image reconstruction techniques are described.
