Abstract

This paper addresses concerning healthcare portals by discussing several of its meaning while describing further on what it can offer as well as the benefits individuals can gain from the service. The main contribution of this paper, it highlights several examples of trusted healthcare portals around the world which are also at the same time provide hints on the portals’ health information supplier. Apart of that, this paper also shed its light on Malaysia primary healthcare portal, known as MyHEALTH Portal followed with a discussion on recent studies found with regards to Malaysian online health information seeking. This is an attempt to understand the state of local health consumers towards health information searching in Malaysia with regards to online health information.
