Abstract
The acoustic behavior of enclosed cavity is essential to be explore due to the interior acoustics analysis is significant in the design stage for automobile manufacturer to control the sound pressure level in the passenger compartment. Present study is to identify the effect of different automobile cabin geometry (cubic, complex shape 1 and complex shape 2) having the same overall dimensions to the acoustic cavity modes analysis in low frequency range (0-200 Hz). The acoustic mode analysis is performed by using MSC ACTRAN software. The acoustic mode shapes, modal frequency and sound pressure level of the automobile cabin models were obtained numerically. The results obtained are as preliminary results for further study to obtain the best sensor’s position for conducting active noise control (ANC).
