Abstract

This paper examines the performance of flexible antennas designed with different substrates for wireless energy transfer at 13.56 MHz. Three different substrates are used to design single-turn square loop antennas to validate the possibility of using flexible antenna for WET. The results show that antennas realized with flexible substrates provide similar performance levels as an antenna designed on a rigid substrate. The results show a potential for employing flexible loop antennas in wireless energy transfer applications.
