Abstract

The major objective of this research is to suggest an integrated model to assess suppliers from an agile manufacturing viewpoint. Agile manufacturing has attained a broad quantity of attention in preceding researches. However, its incorporation with supplier selection is less inspected. To consider this ignorance, this research proposed an incorporated method to select suppliers based on agile manufacturing attributes. Mainly, four performance categories (virtual enterprise, market sensitivity, process integration and network based supply) as well as 12 related measures were chosen as substitutes for agility. The extracted metrics were used as the main criteria of Fuzzy AHP. The proposed model was solved and some managerial implications were recommended.
