Abstract
Skin burn induced by thermal radiation exposure during firefighting is common injury. The research is to develop mathematical model of heat transfer in protective clothing exposed to thermal radiation. The model will predict skin burn injury utilizing FLUENT software to solve the finite volume method. It is a study to investigate the effects of thermal radiation on the skin tissues by of heat transmitted through protective clothing.
