Abstract

This paper reviewed the application of external magnetic fi eld on nano fl uids. So far, nanoparticles have been used in various areas such as manufacturing, electrical and electro nics, automotive and recently biomedical applications. On the other hand, nano fl uids with suspension of magnetic nanopartic les have attracted noteworthy attention due to its numerous applications in industr ies and engineering. In line with fast development of this type of nano fl uid, the purpose of this paper is to further unders tand the effect of external magnetic fi eld on nano fl uids properties and fl uid fl ow, which is a key issue that in fl uenced both the nano fl uid properties and control of fl uid fl ow for application. The conclusions and important summaries were also presented according to the data collected.
