Abstract
In this study, a system of discrete frequencies generation via a series of microring resonator (MRR) is presented. Chaotic signals can be generated by a Gaussian pulse within a MRR system. Large bandwidth signals of optical soliton are generated by input pulse propagating within the MRRs, which can be used to form continuous frequency with large tunable channels. In order to filter the desired frequency channels, an add/drop filter with the appropriate parameters is proposed. In this work, 16 frequency channels with 2 MHz FWHM and 5 MHz FSR are localized. Selected discrete channels are applicable for wireless sensor network using ZigBee and compatible with IEEE standard 802.15.4.
