Abstract
Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) or heart attack is known as number one silent killer because there are subtle symptoms to the sufferer. Recently, the increasing number of research on tele-cardiology has successfully reduced the number of death of heart attack patient. Remote monitoring of heart attack is a branch of tele-cardiology. In this paper, we propose a framework for remote monitoring of heart attack diagnosis system for ambulatory patient. In the proposed system, cardiac markers of patient are monitored continuously and when it reaches certain threshold level, the system generates an alarm to alert medical personal and a patient's relatives. The system makes use of biosensors, to detect cardiac markers from patient blood, and then uses wireless communication to transmit detected markers to the hospital information system (HIS) and monitoring zone to store, monitor and analyze received cardiac markers.
