Abstract
The literature on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and Design-Based Learning (DBL) have explored the concept of learning across multidisciplinary domains. Both assumptions classified certain criteria’s of learning as either Problem-Based or Design-Based. Although recently other perspective have given a different opinion on Design Problem Solving. This paper intend to study the position of existing literature to identify and investigates relevant dichotomy between to two types of learning. The study identifies that there are some parallel positions on PBL and DBL with respect to the characteristic of their problem solving methods: “PBL targets solving problems to achieve the required result or solutions, While DBL is a different discipline that rest upon working both problems and solutions simultaneously until the expected value is achieved.
