Abstract
A novel morphology of zinc-modified HZSM-5 catalyst was prepared by solid state reaction between highly reactive electrogenerated zinc (EGZn) and HZSM-5 zeolite. This EGZn/HZSM-5 catalyst was synthesized by in-situ electrogeneration method and impregnation method. XRD, BET surface area analyzer and FTIR analysis were used to characterize EGZn/HZSM-5 catalyst. The results show that HZSM-5 structure remained intact after the modification of zinc loading. Thus, it proves that this EGZn/HZSM-5 catalyst can be applied as a bifunctional catalyst for catalytic reactions.
