Gangguan seksual di tempat kerja dan tekanan kerja di sebuah syarikat perkilangan di Johor Bahru

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the forms of sexual harassment that often occurs and its relationship to job stress in a manufacturing company in Johor Bahru. About 187 local female operators have been chosen as the respondents for this study. The data were collected by using a set of questionnaire which consists of three parts namely part A (Demography), part B (Sexual Harassment) and part C (Work Stress). The questionnaire has been designed by adopting the instruments of Utara Sexual Harassment Questionnaire (USHAQ) and Work Stress Questionnaire. Then, the collected data have been analyzed by using descriptive statistic (mean and percentage) and inferential statistic (One Way ANOVA and Correlation). The finding reveals that verbal form of sexual harassment often happened in a work place. Besides, the result also shows that sexual harassment has a significant difference with age factor and working experience. The finding also show that sexual harassment has a significant relationship with work stress. In this study, some suggestion have been given to the future researchers, manufacturing company in Johor Bahru as well as female operators in manufacturing company.
