Penerapan Strategi Lautan Biru (BOS) dalam amalan pengurusan dan pentadbiran sekolah rendah

Abstract

This study was carried out to investigate the application of the Blue Ocean Strategy in the practice of Management and Administration of Elementary Schools. This case study was carried out qualitatively via interviews as well as analysis of documents. The interviews were conducted on five elementary school principals from the surrounding area of Ledang. The objective of this study was to identify whether the concept of the Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS) was able to be incorporated by the subjects into the practices of elementary school administration, to define the fields in school administration that are suitable for BOS at school and to identify the problems faced with BOS. Study results show that the subjects are all still at a low level of comprehension about BOS. However, they display confidence in their ability to incorporate BOS into the practices of managing and administrating their schools, but only if they are provided guidelines and a clear explanation about BOS. The subjects also stated that BOS would be able to improve governance in the fields of school administration
